To use the Viber free video calling facility you need to have Android 4.0 or later on your phone. Also, you need to make your calls to your Viber contacts that are using a device that is compatible with this operating system.
The nice thing is that Viber allows you to transfer your video calls between your mobile phone and personal computer. Furthermore, you also have the ability to easily add your friends on Viber in any of two ways: you can enter their Viber number or you can scan their QR code.
Viber also allows you to share your video calls between your personal computer and mobile phone. It also allows you to call up a landline number but this is not offered as a free service. Initially, Viber developed this application for smartphones so that users could make no-cost calls and messages.
To use the free video calling facility on Viber you need to do the following:
* Start by downloading Viber’s latest version for Android
* Start searching for contacts by typing in their names and hitting the search button. After you find a name, you will need to click on the name.
* Viber will show you an option that either allows you to make a free call or you can send a no-cost text message. You need to choose FREE CALL
* Wait for the call to be connected. Once connected, you will see an option on your screen that helps to activate your camera’s phone. There is an option called VIDEO CALL. Press this option to start you free video call
* Remember that in order to make the free video call it is necessary for the person whom you are calling to also activate the Video Call function on their phone. This allows both people to take part in video conferencing
* In case you want to switch from front camera to back camera, just click on a button that is displayed on the bottom left hand side of your screen
This is all that it takes for you to make a free Viber video call.
