Android Lollipop update coming soon to 7 Lenovo phones

Lenovo has officially announced that it will be updating seven smartphones to Android Lollipop in Q2 of 2015. All the seven phones in question are unlocked devices.
The devices include the recently launched A6000 budget smartphone, the Vibe X2, the P70-A, the S90-A, the Vibe Z2 and the Vibe Z2 pro. The listing on the official Lenovo Android Upgrade Matrix page also included the Lenovo A5000, which has not been launched yet.
All the aforementioned devices currently run on Android 4.4 KitKat.  While Lenovo will offer the update to Lollipop it remains to be seen, what features of the OS make it to Lenovo's update package.

Traditionally, Lenovo skins its smartphones with its own Vibe UI, which forgoes a traditional Android app drawer for an iOS style springboard of apps and widgets.
With the Android Lollipop update, Google is pushing its new flatter Material Design language, new quick settings, and a raft of under the hood changes.
It is likely the design updates will not make it as is to the Lenovo update; however, underlying features like factory reset protection should come. In addition, users can expect a revamped Lenovo UI, which has shades of Google's Material Design.
