Before you download, verify your device model from the settings menu on your phone. The software can only be downloaded to the Galaxy Note 3 GSM LTE (SM-N9005) phone.

Secondly, you need to make sure that your phone has a minimum of eighty percent battery charge. This prevents the likelihood of your phone shutting down unexpectedly and in the middle of the download.

Thirdly, you need to back up data and settings before initiating the download. You can backup everything with a tool like the one called ClockworkMOD. Next, you need to make sure that the proper USB drivers are installed for your phone on your PC. Also, make sure that you have enabled USB Debugging mode. How - to download Lollipop
To download Android Lollipop you need to do the following:
- Ensure that Cyanogen Mod 12Androdid 5.0 custom ROM is downloaded to your Galaxy Note 3
- Connect your phone with your computer with a USB mass storage on your phone
- Copy the file downloaded in step 1 and paste it to the root folder on your Galaxy Note 3’s SD card
- Switch off the power of your phone and remove the USB cable from your computer
- Boot your phone into Recovery Mode
- Now, do a complete data wipe
- Do Wipe Cache Partition
- Once step 7 is complete, you can do Wipe Dalvik Cache in the advanced option
- Go to main recovery menu and opt for InstallZip from your SD Card
- Opt for Choose Zip from SD Card
- Repeat steps nine and ten and install Google Apps
- After installing Google Apps and ROM you can Reboot your system in the Recovery Menu
Final words
Your Galaxy Note 3 will then reboot, which process may take some time. So, be patient. Once all the steps outlined above have been completed in the proper sequence your Galaxy Note 3 will have the new Android Lollipop installed and ready to run.
