DLP Android Pico Projector available to ship to the U.S.

 new Android-based mini projector showed up on the FCC recently The digital projector from Mego Optoeletronics runs on Android 4.2 with built-in Wi-Fi has already been on sale for a while via import resellers such as AliExpress and eBay for about $300 – $330.
The pico projector offers playback of PDFs, photos, Excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations, and videos without the need for an external signal source. However, you can connect it to an external signal source, via HDMI, AV, and VGA input connectors.

Thanks to the Android operating system inside, users can download and install apps right onto the projector. Using the device’s on-board touch pad (or an external mouse), you can navigate the projected screen and select which app you wish to open.
The device works similar to an Android-based tablet. Users connect to local Wi-Fi and download apps from the Google Playstore.
The Pico Projector can handle 1080p video playback, but it only projects at an 854 x 480 display resolution. It projects 260 lumens at a distance from 3.6 – 13 feet with a display size of 20 to 150 inches.

It supports JPEG, BMP, PNG, AVI, DAT, MPEG, M4A, MP3, WMA, and more. You can also project Word files directly without connecting to PC.
The model comes with built-in memory of either 8GB or 16GB and it features a maximum SD-memory support of 32GB.
This little box may not be quite as feature rich as ZTE’s Spro 2, but at onlyabout $300, you may be able to get what you need without breaking the bank.
